Well, here we go.....

Well, here we go! This is something I have been thinking about doing for the last ten years and have finally decided to do it. I don't exactly know what made me decide to pull the trigger after all this time, but I do know why I'm doing it and I guess we'll see if I am successful in my intentions.

I have no idea if anyone will find this, if anyone will read it or even give a damn about it if they do, however I feel compelled to write it in the hopes that if anyone is struggling with coming out maybe my own story might let them know there are others who have gone through what they are currently experiencing and there is hope, regardless of how they are feeling or how bad things are at the time.

It is my wish that I might reach those who need encouragement and give them some confirmation that it will be ok, however I can. More likely than not, this will involve a considerable amount of soul-searching and soul-baring on my part which will probably be uncomfortable, however it's something I am willing to do. So, let's do this......
